Wylie ISD Back to School Fair offers free items, services
The annual Wylie ISD Back to School Fair is Saturday, Aug. 6 from 8-10 a.m at The Cross Church.
Students with a financial need who are currently enrolled in Wylie ISD are welcome to attend to receive free school supplies and backpacks.
The Full Spectrum Salon will also be there giving free haircuts to students.
The Back to School Fair is also offering immunizations for $10 each. Vaccinations are free with proof of insurance.
To qualify for the event, students must be currently enrolled in Wylie ISD and provide proof of one of the following: active military, free or reduced lunch, Medicaid, WIC, SNAP, social security benefits, disability benefits or unemployment benefits.
Coinciding with the Back to School Fair, Wylie Way Outfitters will be distributing free gently used clothes to current Wylie students with a financial need from 9 to noon that day. Wylie Way Outfitters will distribute these free clothing items while supplies last at 300 Pirate Drive, next to the Wylie ISD Education Service Center.
Only students currently enrolled in Wylie ISD are eligible to receive items at the Back to School Fair.
There will be no dressing rooms or restrooms available to try on clothes. Attendants simply need to know the size of clothes they need and will be given a stack of school dress code items.
This will be the very last time to receive free clothes from Wylie Way Outfitters. Any future needs for school dress code items can be picked up from Five Loaves Food Pantry or the Wylie Community Christian Care Center.
If you would like to donate school supplies, please drop them off at the Educational Service Center by Aug. 1. We also have an Amazon wish list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2WK0MBM02XXQF?ref_=wl_share
