Ramirez Named New Cooper Junior High Assistant Principal

Dale Ramirez named new Cooper Junior High assistant principalWylie ISD is proud to announce Dale Ramirez as the newest assistant principal at Cooper Junior High. He takes over for Jeff Van Meter, who accepted a position outside the district.

Ramirez currently serves as an assistant principal at Watkins Elementary, a position he has held since 2018. Prior to moving into administration, Ramirez taught science for six years, serving Harrison Intermediate from 2012-2017 and Burnett Junior High from 2017-2018. He began his educational career in Wylie ISD in 2011 as an instructional aide at Harrison before moving into a teaching position.

In his current role at Watkins, Ramirez collaborates with students, staff and the community to ensure every student’s success. He is a graduate of the district’s Aspiring Administrators Academy and holds certifications in Principal (EC-12) and Generalist (4-8).

Ramirez is a graduate of Midwestern State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Criminal Justice. He also earned a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
