The Wylie ISD is pleased to announce that Morgan Power has been named the new principal at Don Whitt Elementary School. Mrs. Power is currently the assistant principal, and she replaces Amber Teamann who is leaving the district.
“I am incredibly honored and excited to have the opportunity to serve our Whitt Wolves as campus principal,” said Power. “My hope is to continue to build and grow meaningful relationships with our families at Whitt Elementary. I know that as a team, our campus will continue our dedication to ensure that every wolf experiences academic success while also building strong character. That is the Wylie Way!”
Mrs. Power began her teaching career in 2007 in Royse City ISD. While in RCISD, she was named the 2013-2014 Davis Elementary Teacher of the Year. She spent one year in Lone Oak ISD before returning to RCISD in 2016. In 2018 she was named the assistant principal at Whitt. Throughout her career, she has served on numerous campus advisory committees. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Texas A&M - Commerce along with her administrator’s certification.
