Current Birmingham assistant principal Tracy Halligan will be the school’s new Principal following Mrs. Doolan’s move to WEHS.
“I am honored to have been named the principal of Birmingham Elementary,” said Mrs. Halligan. “I look forward to continuing the legacy at Birmingham established by Mrs. Doolan and former principals. I am excited about my new role and look forward to striving to reach new goals while setting the bar to achieve excellence for all Bears.”
Tracy Halligan began her teaching career in 2004 in Garland ISD. She served at both the elementary and middle school levels before moving to Wylie ISD in 2010. She taught at Cox Elementary for five years before moving to administration as the elementary science and physical education learning specialist. She was named the AP at Birmingham in 2018. Mrs. Halligan holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas, a master’s degree from Western Governors University as well as her principal’s certification.
