Wylie ISD Names Two New Assistant Principals
Wylie ISD is pleased to announce two new assistant principals. Tracy Halligan will be the new AP at Birmingham Elementary School and Dale Ramirez will be the new AP at Watkins Elementary School. Both will assume their new roles for the 2018-2019 school year.
Tracy Halligan began her teaching career in 2004 in Garland ISD. She served at both the elementary and middle school levels before moving to Wylie ISD in 2010. She taught at Cox Elementary for five years before moving to administration as the elementary science and physical education learning specialist. Mrs. Halligan holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas, a master’s degree from Western Governors University as well as her principal’s certification.
Dale Ramirez has been in Wylie ISD since 2011. He began as an instructional aide at Harrison, moving to science teacher in 2012. In 2017, he moved to Burnett Junior High. He served as the Future Problem Solvers team coach at both schools. Mr. Ramirez is a graduate of Wylie ISD’s Aspiring Administrators Academy. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Midwestern State University, a master’s degree from Texas A&M – Commerce as well as his principal’s certification.
