Wylie ISD Names New Administrators

Wylie ISD is pleased to announce three new leadership changes:

  • Amanda Lannan, Director of Student Services
  • Leslie Coble, Wylie High School Associate Principal
  • Joel May, Harrison Intermediate Assistant Principal

Wylie ISD Names New Director of Student Services

Amanda Lannan has been named the new Director of Student Services. She is currently the associate principal at Wylie High School, a position she has held since 2019.

Lannan began her teaching career in 2007 at Wylie East High School, teaching world geography and economics. In 2015, she moved to the Wylie ISD Educational Service Center and served as a social studies learning specialist. Lannan then joined the administration team at Wylie High School in 2017, serving as an assistant principal.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from Texas State University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M-Commerce.

Wylie High Names New Associate Principal

Leslie Coble will assume duties from Amanda Lannan as Wylie High School’s new associate principal. Coble currently serves as an assistant principal at the school.

Coble’s public education career began in 2008 as a math teacher at Vernon High School in Vernon ISD. She then spent 10 years in Burkburnett ISD. Coble joined the Wylie family in 2019 as an assistant principal at Groves Elementary before moving to Cooper Junior High in 2020. She was named an assistant principal at WHS in 2022.

Coble graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Midwestern State University and received her Master of Education in Educational Administration from Lamar University.

Harrison Intermediate Names New Assistant Principal

Joel May takes over for Justin Falcone, who recently accepted a position in another district.

May most recently served as an assistant principal at Dover Elementary in Richardson ISD (RISD), a position he held for two years. The 16-year veteran educator began his career as an assistant band director at South Grand Prairie High School. He then served as an associate director of bands at James E. Taylor High School and Allen High School before transitioning to an assistant principal role in RISD in 2019.

May received a Bachelor of Music Education from Baylor University. He also obtained his Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University.

May resides in Wylie with his family.
