Wylie ISD has yet another reason to celebrate! Once again, the district has ranked at the top when it comes to being the best!

Out of over 1,000 school districts, Niche.com ranked Wylie ISD 16th in the state for “Best School Districts.”

Not only that, but out of nearly 11,000 districts analyzed, Wylie ISD placed 249th in the U.S.!

The accolades don’t end there. Wylie ISD is also in the top 100 for “Best Places to Teach in Texas.”

Superintendent Dr. David Vinson says these new rankings are no surprise to him.

“I love that more and more organizations are seeing the amazing work happening in Wylie ISD,” Dr. Vinson said. “We already knew we are a destination district that provides students with an exemplary educational experience and one of the best places to work for staff. Now it is just validated in one more way.”

Niche considers several factors when assessing a school district’s ranking, including academics, graduation rates, teacher salaries, school culture, extracurricular activities, and student and staff experiences, among others. Niche sources information from the U.S. Department of Education, the National Centers for Education Statistics, Civil Rights Data Collection, and surveys submitted by teachers, students and staff.
