Public school buildings, grounds and equipment are financed and maintained for the sole purpose of promoting education. Wylie ISD does lease its equipment and buildings to qualified organizations. Specifically, those that meet the following criteria:
- Proof of non-profit status. (i.e. 501 c 3 documentation)
- Completion of an application for facility use form.
- Certificate of liability (see General Conditions of Facility Use)
- $500 security deposit per location.
- An organization's active membership is comprised of 80% residents of Wylie ISD.

For organizations interested in leasing on a "one-time" or seasonal basis, please use the Two Page Application. Those organizations interested in use extending beyond a season need to complete a long-term lease.
Athletic Fields/Parking Lots
All athletic fields including the turf fields at Wylie High, Wylie East, Shaffer Stadium, McMillan Junior High and Cooper Junior High are restricted from public use. These areas are reserved for the Wylie ISD student athletes and organizations only. Qualified, non-profit organizations may apply to lease time and space at Shaffer Stadium. Please refer to the links below for more information. Requests may be made through the Facilities Department by contacting 972-429-2328 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The tracks that surround the turf fields may be used by the public. Please, no pets allowed.
Grassy areas around Wylie ISD campuses that are NOT fenced or gated are open to the public to use for sports practices. Use is on a first-come, first serve basis and does not require a formal application.
Use of Wylie ISD parking lots must be reserved through the Facilities Department and may require special permitting from the city of Wylie. A Certificate of Insurance and Waiver of Liability are required from groups which are not school based and/or are using the lot for fundraising purposes.
