Rezoning 2025-26

In January 2025, the Wylie ISD Board of Trustees approved new school attendance zones to accommodate our district’s continued growth and ensure balanced enrollment across campuses. These changes will take effect at the start of the 2025-26 school year. We understand that rezoning impacts families in many ways, and we are committed to providing clear, up-to-date information to support a smooth transition. This page serves as a central resource where families can find details about the new attendance zones, transition plans, and answers to frequently asked questions.

Overview of the Adjustments

  • New Elementary: Kreymer Elementary will open in Fall 2025. The school is located on Brown Street near Springdale Way.
  • New Intermediate & Junior High Schools: The new secondary schools will open in Fall 2026. These schools are located on Kreymer Lane, just south of Brown Street.
  • Elementary School Rezoning: Some residences will be rezoned from Akin, Bush, Cox, Dodd, Hartman, Smith, and Whitt to other campuses. Significant impacts for Akin and Hartman.
  • Pre-K Program Consolidation: All Pre-K students will attend the Hartman Early Childhood Learning Center in Fall 2025.
  • True Feeder Patterns: When the new intermediate and junior high schools open in Fall 2026, junior high students will follow true feeder patterns into high school, strengthening school pride and peer connections.
  • Dual Language Program Adjustments: The program will transition from Bush Elementary to Dodd Elementary and from Draper Intermediate to Davis Intermediate. Students already enrolled in the program will finish at their current campuses.
