Experience

I am beginning my 20th year in education, all in Wylie ISD.  I began my teaching career at Wylie High School as a health and physical education teacher, then transferred to Wylie East when the campus opened in 2007.  (#RFL) At East, I taught health, Teen Leadership, and helped build our first-ever college readiness program, Access Success.  I sponsored the award-winning student council where I helped empower young leaders to serve in our school and community.

I grew up in Wylie and attended Wylie ISD schools since third grade at Birmingham Elementary.  I am a proud Class of 1996 graduate of Wylie High School.  I am honored to give back to a community that has given so much to me and I am looking forward to another great year of serving our Raiders in my fifth year as assistant principal.

Personal Life

I have been married to my husband, Ron, for 18 years.  We have one daughter, Ashtyn, who is a junior here at Wylie East.  I love a good adrenaline rush, whether it's riding a roller coaster or jumping out of an airplane.  I love spending time with my family at the lake, watching my daughter compete at cheer competitions, and taking family cruises or vacations to Disney or the beach.
