I began my career in education in 1998 as a paraprofessional and enjoyed working with junior high students so much I decided to go back to school to become a teacher. I graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2003 and later earned my Masters degree in Science Education also from UTD. Go Comets! I love going to work each day to find a new adventure and an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of people around me. My favorite thing about working in education is getting to meet new students each year and watching them grow and succeed. My family and I enjoy outdoor activities like camping, hiking, and fishing.  I also enjoy knitting and reading in my free time.  My husband and I have a daughter and two dogs that keep us busy and on our toes. I look forward to this school year at McMillan Junior High.
