My name is Jesmar Colon-Hungria and I am proud to be part of the Whitt Wolf Pack!!  I am originally from New York City and have received a Bachelor's Degree in Media Studies with a minor in Psychology from Queens College, City University of New York. I also have my teacher's certification from ACT Houston @ Dallas in Early Elementary Education.  This will be my FIRST year at Whitt Elementary after teaching Kindergarten for 9 years in Allen, TX.

Personally, I have been with my husband for 18 wonderful years and have two fantastic children who are 6 and 1 years old. We love to spend time as a family and vacation together. I am a true believer of experiencing the world, one trip at a time! 

I have a true passion for working with our youngest learners!!  Helping each child progress in all areas of their development—academic, social, language, and motor—is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily.  I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment. I look forward to working together with you as partners in your child’s growth and development!!
