Welcome to Science!
Environmental Science is a senior level course coverinng the complex interdisciplinary study of how humans interact with the living and nonliving parts of the natural world.
The three main goals of environmental science are:
to learn how the natural world works,
to understand how humans interact with the environment, and
to find ways to deal with environmental problems and live more sustainably.
Employment of environmental scientists is projected to continue to grow in the coming decades. Heightened public awareness in environmental issues, as well as the increasing demands placed on the environment by population growth, are expected to spur demand for environmental scientists and specialists.
Environmental Science is a senior level elective science class which brings together the fields of ecology, biology, zoology, oceanography, atmospheric science, soil science, geology, chemistry, economics, political science, engineering, and more in an interdisciplinary study of how natural and man-made processes interact with one another and ultimately affect the various biomes of Earth.
