Hello Gator Family!
It is with great pleasure that I serve the students, families, and staff of Groves Elementary as your School Counselor! This is the start of my 24th year in education and my 12th year as a School Counselor. In addition to being a counselor, I have also taught first and second grade and worked in Student Services.
Prior to coming to Wylie ISD I worked in Richardson ISD, which is also where I grew up. I am graduate of Berkner High School where I was a member of the Mighty Ram Band and was the Drum Major. Baylor University is my alma mater. Sic Em' Bears! I love college football season!
Some of my favorite things are traveling, photography, music, my cat, Hope, spending quality time with my family, especially my awesome two nieces and nephew!
I am passionate about helping students grow emotionally and socially as they progress through school & prepare for life. Throughout the school year I will be working with classes on lessons/activities where we will be learning about character traits, life skills, goal setting, personal problem solving, friendships, and more. I will also meet and work with students individually and will have some small groups to help work on more specific needs as seen fit.
It is my privilege to support you and your student at Groves Elementary! It is going to be a great year!
