Mrs. Alyssa Bourquein-Prosser
My name is Alyssa Bourquein-Prosser. I graduated from Texas A&M (WHOOP!) in 2017 majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis on English Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies. This past July I recently got married and just moved all the way from Houston! I grew up in Beaumont, Texas with my parents and six siblings. I love to travel, spend time with my dogs Tucker and Murphy, ride horses and fish at our family ranch, and especially go to Fightin' Texas Aggie Football games. A fun fact about me is that I'm the youngest set of three sets of twins in my immediate family!
This will be my third year in education and my second year teaching in Wylie ISD. I'm so excited to get to be apart of what it means to learn and teach the "Wylie Way". I became a teacher because I had a special handful of teachers throughout my life that grately impacted me. They inspired, encouraged, and supported me in the decision to also become an educator. Whether it be showing up at my sporting events, spending the extra time to tutor me, or needed words of encouragement, these teachers changed my life and it is my desire to love my students the same way my many mentors loved and supported me. I believe that this year will be a great year and I'm so excited to see what it has store for me and my kiddos! Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or anything in between! I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
