Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Courtney Kaniatobe
My name is Courtney Kaniatobe and this will be my fourth school year teaching Art here at Tibbals Elementary. Art is a huge passion of mine and has always been an emotional and creative outlet for me. Drawing is my absolute favorite! (We do a lot of guided drawing in my class.) I also love to paint and use mixed media; especially scrapbook paper.
I have been married to my husband Ben for four and a half years. We enjoy traveling to new places, good food and spending time with family and friends. We just bought our first house in March and have enjoyed settling in over the summer.
Music is another passion of mine. I have been singing and preforming since I was old enough to talk. I typically have some sort of tune in my head and a lot of times you will hear me humming or singing. I enjoy listening to many genres of music from show tunes, worship, country, classical and 80's! Every now and then I get to lead praise and worship at my church!
Teaching Art has been a beautiful way of combining my love for teaching with my passion for art.
My goals this year:
1.) To provide students with a safe and fun teaching environment.
2.) To instill in each student that they matter and are loved by me.
3.) To provide the creative outlet needed for each individual student.
4.) To expand each student's thought process about the world around them using the tools physically and mentally given to them in the Art room.
