I look forward to starting my fourteenth year teaching in Wylie.  I have been blessed to grow in a district that has a heart for their students and a strong connection to the community.  It's the Wylie Way.  I have lived in North Texas since attending Texas Woman's University and graduating in 1997.  Soon after  graduating I met my husband, and we were blessed with two amazing daughters, Hana and Noora.  We are a cat loving family that enjoys traveling and long discussions over dinner.  I am committed to creating a classroom where all students grow and succeed.  Reading and writing are things I am extremely passionate about.   Students leave my classroom either with a new found excitement and love for all things literacy, or a new perspective on how powerful and transformative reading and writing can be.
