I attended Stephen F Austin State University for 2 years, then transferred to finish my teaching degree at the University of Texas at Austin.

I have completed some graduate work at University of North Texas and University of Houston as well as many conference training seminars.

 

I began teaching in 1986 with Kindergartners, then after a few years I moved to First Grade. I have also taught ESL classes and coordinated a Math/Science Lab. I began teaching 5th grade Social Studies at Davis Intermediate in 2009. I then moved into 6th grade Social Studens and ELA, soon to teach exclusively ELA. Then I received a wonderful opportunity to teach one of my very favorite subjectsL Science! I truly enjoy staying up to date on new curriculum and new ways to present it to students.
