Foreign Exchange Students
Student Admission Process
Fall-Winter
Organizations may begin screening families to be potential hosts for foreign exchange students.
Applying for Admission
Applications may be submitted between February 1 and April 1.
Review
Applications will be reviewed and students will be placed based on:
- Completed Applications
- Campus Availability
- Student background
- Meeting District and State Requirements Timeliness of Submission
Approval
Organizations will be contacted by the last work day in April for notification of approval for student admittance.
Wait List
Additional applicants will be placed on a wait list for potential openings for the upcoming school year.
Per TEA policy, Wylie ISD has applied for a waiver that limits the amount of foreign exchange students to 5 students per campus per school year.
