How to Do Business
All purchase commitments shall be made and signed by the Superintendent of Schools or the Finance Division Designee on a properly drawn and issued purchase order, in accordance with the District’s Board Policy and administrative procedures.
School Districts in the State of Texas are governed by the state’s competitive bid law. The purpose and intent of this competitive process is to help public schools obtain the best value for public funds. As a result, many purchases are done through the competitive bid process.
Wylie ISD uses the e-bidding system, IonWave, for supplier registration and to identify vendors who desire to participate in the competitive bid or proposal process.
To be included in our bid process, vendors must completed and submit the supplier registration in the District’s e-bidding system. Registered vendors will automatically receive notifications of bid opportunities based on the commodity categories selected but will NOT attain APPROVED VENDOR status unless and until a contract is awarded to the vendor.
It will be the sole responsibility of each vendor to maintain and keep current their company's information on the District's e-bidding site. It is imperative that the vendor’s information be kept current especially e-mail addresses and/or ISP’s. Otherwise, bid notifications will never be received by the vendor and the opportunity for bid submittals will be lost.
Please visit our IonWave page to start the registration process.
