Curriculum & Instruction

Every Campus – Every Classroom – Every Child – Every Day

The Curriculum Department of Wylie ISD is committed to providing all Wylie ISD students with a guaranteed and viable curriculum that prepares them for life after high school. Our department supports curriculum implementation in math, science, social studies, reading/language arts, health, PE, and languages other than English. In addition, the curriculum department supports assessment and accountability.

In the fall of 2012, Wylie ISD implemented Teacher Resource System (TRS) as the district curriculum framework for the four core content areas in grades Kinder through 12th. TRS is a comprehensive, customizable, user-friendly curriculum management system built on the most current research-based practices in the field. Its primary focus is to impact instructional practices in the classroom to improve student performance.

Wylie ISD has been named a 2022 Model PLC District. Want to know more? Feel free to read our press release.
