Wylie ISD Names Shawnell Bradshaw Principal of Hartman Early Childhood Learning Center
- Announcement
Wylie ISD is proud to announce Shawnell Bradshaw as the inaugural principal of Hartman Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC). She steps into this role after Joey Welborn, who was set to lead the campus, accepted a position outside of education.
Bradshaw is no stranger to Wylie ISD or the Hartman community. She began her journey in Wylie ISD in 2005 as a fourth-grade teacher after starting her career in Richardson ISD in 1997, where she taught both first and fourth grade. Her leadership path began in 2012 when she was named assistant principal at Watkins Elementary, later serving in the same role at Whitt Elementary. In 2018, she became the principal of Hartman Elementary. She served there until 2023, when she joined Achieve Academy as assistant principal and took on responsibilities as the district’s Title IX coordinator and truancy officer.
After two impactful years at Achieve, Bradshaw is excited to return to campus leadership, especially at Hartman, a place close to her heart, as it transitions to an early childhood-focused model. As the first principal of the new ECLC, she will lead all aspects of the pre-kindergarten learning experience for Wylie ISD’s youngest learners.
Bradshaw holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas Woman’s University and a master’s degree from Dallas Baptist University. She is certified in Elementary Education, Early Childhood, and Principal Leadership.
As Hartman ECLC prepares to welcome its first class in August 2025, Bradshaw's leadership signifies a new chapter in Wylie ISD’s continued investment in early childhood education.
