Wylie ISD Names Power Principal of Tibbals Elementary
Morgan Power, new principal of Tibbals Elementary.

Wylie ISD is proud to announce that Morgan Power has been named the next principal of Tibbals Elementary. Power will transition into the role following the upcoming departure of current principal Tiffany Leech, who recently accepted a position in another district.

After serving for the past year as Wylie ISD’s Executive Director of Special Education, Power shared that she missed the daily relationships and connections that come with leading an elementary campus and is excited to return to campus leadership at Tibbals Elementary.

During her time in district administration, Power worked closely with campuses to support students and strengthen special education services across the district. Prior to serving at the district level, she was principal of Whitt Elementary, where she became known as a student-centered leader who prioritized relationships, campus culture, and academic excellence.

Power joined Wylie ISD in 2018 as assistant principal at Whitt Elementary before being named principal in 2020. She began her career in public education in 2007 in Royse City ISD and also served in Lone Oak ISD before returning to Royse City. Throughout her career, she has served on numerous campus and district committees focused on supporting student success and creating positive learning environments.

She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Texas A&M University–Commerce, as well as her administrator certification.

Power resides in Wylie with her family. She and her husband, Craig, are the proud parents of two Wylie ISD students.
