Wylie East High School Names New Associate Principal
Karrie George will assume associate principal duties at Wylie East High School, succeeding Adam Jacobson, who is stepping into the role of Wylie ISD’s new human resources executive director.
George began her teaching career in 1995 at Lamesa ISD. After teaching out of state, she joined Wylie ISD as a substitute teacher and was hired as a math teacher at Wylie High School in 2012. In 2017, she moved to central administration as a learning specialist for math. In 2018, she became an assistant principal at Draper Intermediate and transitioned to Wylie East High School as an assistant principal in 2020.
George holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Texas Tech University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M Commerce.
She resides in Sachse with her family.
Wylie East High School Names New Dean of Students
Zachary Neu will serve as the new Dean of Students at Wylie East High School, filling Karrie George’s previous role as assistant principal.
Neu has been a chemistry teacher at WEHS since 2017 and has also served as Student Council Co-Advisor for six years. His other roles include mentor teacher, DWEIC member, Bully and Threat Assessment Committee member, Wylie Way Day lesson planner, and Vice-Chairperson of Wylie ISD’s Sick Leave Bank.
Neu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from Texas Tech University and is currently pursuing his Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech. He is also an alumnus of Wylie East High School and resides in the area.
