Wylie ISD Names New Cooper Junior High Principal

Wylie ISD is proud to announce the appointment of Leslie Coble as the new principal of Cooper Junior High. Coble assumes duties from Amanda Lannan, who was named the district’s new human resources assistant superintendent. 

She currently serves as the associate principal at Wylie High School.

Coble’s career began in 2008 as a math teacher at Vernon High School in Vernon ISD. She then spent 10 years in Burkburnett ISD. Coble joined the Wylie family in 2019 as an assistant principal at Groves Elementary before moving to Cooper Junior High in 2020. She was named an assistant principal at WHS in 2022 before her promotion to associate in 2023.

A graduate of Midwestern State University, Coble holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. She earned her Master of Education in Educational Administration from Lamar University.

Coble resides in the area with her family.
