Wylie ISD Earns 2025 Texas Honor Roll District Recognition for Academic Performance
Educational Results Partnership 2025 Honor Roll List.

Wylie ISD has been named a Scholar District on the 2025 Texas Honor Roll, placing it among the top-performing public school systems in the state based on STAAR performance and sustained academic outcomes from 2023-2025.

Only 84 districts statewide, approximately 14.5% of eligible districts, earned this distinction.

The annual Honor Roll, compiled by Educational Results Partnership (ERP), recognizes public schools, school districts, and charter systems that outperform their peers in closing achievement gaps and demonstrating strong academic outcomes across student groups.

“This recognition reflects the ongoing commitment of our teachers, staff, students and families to high expectations and continuous growth,” said Superintendent Dr. Kim Spicer. “We believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed at high levels, and we are proud to see that commitment translating into strong outcomes across our district. While we celebrate this honor, we remain focused on the work ahead to ensure every student is known, supported and prepared for their future.”

Wylie ISD Honor Roll Schools
In addition to the district recognition, the following Wylie ISD campuses earned Honor Roll distinction:

Scholar Schools

  • McMillan Junior High
  • Bush Elementary
  • Tibbals Elementary
  • Watkins Elementary
  • Whitt Elementary

Star Schools

  • Birmingham Elementary
  • Cox Elementary
  • Groves Elementary
  • Hartman Elementary

This year, 1,076 schools across Texas were named to the Honor Roll, representing approximately 15% of schools statewide. The program is part of a national effort to engage business leaders in recognizing successful schools and promoting best practices that improve student outcomes.

Honor Roll schools and districts are recognized for demonstrating consistently high levels of student achievement, improvement over time, and meaningful reduction in achievement gaps among student populations.

ERP recognizes schools and districts in two categories:

  • Star Schools and Districts: Entities with greater than or equal to 33% of students designated as economically disadvantaged (high poverty)
  • Scholar Schools and Districts: Entities with fewer than 33% of students designated as economically disadvantaged (low poverty)
