Wylie ISD Hosts 5th Annual Band Night

Wylie ISD hosted its fifth annual Band Night Oct. 8 at Wylie Stadium.

Students from every junior high and high school participated in this free musical event.

“It has really turned into a great community event,” Executive Director of Fine Arts Glenn Lambert said. “It’s a way for the seventh and eighth-grade students and parents to see the high school marching bands perform their show in the stadium for an audience that truly is there to see and support them!”

Band Night is not simply a night of performances. The high school marching bands also gain insightful feedback on their performances.

“We invite judges to evaluate the two high school bands during their performance so that the directors and students get some feedback from a highly trained expert in the marching arts,” Lambert said.
