Wylie ISD Announces First Principal for Parker Junior High
- Announcement

Wylie ISD is proud to announce that Dr. Andie Doty has been selected as the inaugural principal of Parker Junior High, which is set to open in August 2026.
Dr. Doty, who currently serves as the district’s Director of Assessment and Accountability, brings two decades of educational experience to her new role and is no stranger to Wylie ISD. She began her career in 2005 as an eighth-grade science teacher in Lewisville ISD, before joining Wylie ISD in 2006 as an eighth-grade science teacher at Burnett Junior High. In 2007, she transitioned to Wylie East High School, where she taught biology and anatomy & physiology for six years.
In 2013, Dr. Doty relocated to Burkburnett ISD, where she taught seventh and eighth-grade science at Burkburnett Middle School, followed by teaching biology and AP biology at Burkburnett High School. She returned to Wylie ISD in 2016 as a learning specialist for advanced academics and was promoted to assistant principal at McMillan Junior High in 2017. She later served as an assistant principal at Wylie High School beginning in 2019 before moving into her current role in 2022.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Science Education from the University of Oklahoma, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Midwestern State University, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas. Dr. Doty resides in Wylie with her family. She and her husband, Brandon, a WHS teacher and coach, have two children who attend Wylie ISD schools.
With Dr. Doty’s leadership in place, Wylie ISD is excited about the future of Parker Junior High. Construction of the school remains on schedule and continues to move forward as planned.
The district anticipates announcing the principal of Hampton Intermediate, Wylie ISD’s other new campus, late next week.
