Wylie ISD is proud to announce three campus leadership promotions for the 2025-26 school year. These dedicated educators have each demonstrated a strong commitment to students, staff, and the Wylie Way, and they will now take on new roles to support and lead their school communities.

Allison Bryant, Assistant Principal, Kreymer Elementary

She moved to third grade in 2021 and has been a key part of the district curriculum writing team.

Bryant holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University–Commerce and earned her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University. She completed her principal internship in 2022-23 and was named Dodd’s Campus Teacher of the Year in 2018-19. Known for her energy, Bryant brings positivity and determination to every role she takes.

Jami Carter-Brown, Dean of Students, Tibbals Elementary

Jami Carter-Brown, currently the music teacher at Tibbals Elementary, has been promoted to Dean of Students at Tibbals. He will take over the role from Erica Brunson, who was recently named principal of Birmingham Elementary. Carter-Brown joined Wylie ISD in 2020 after teaching at Rutherford Elementary in Mesquite ISD from 2017 to 2020. In addition to his work in the classroom, he serves as PTA Teacher Liaison and was recently named Tibbals’ 2024-25 Campus Teacher of the Year.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and a Master of Education in Educational Administration, both from Texas A&M University–Commerce. Carter-Brown is passionate about building strong relationships with students and fostering a positive, connected school culture.

Katie Mason, Assistant Principal, Watkins Elementary

Katie Mason has been promoted to assistant principal at Watkins Elementary, where she has served in multiple teaching and leadership roles since joining Wylie ISD in 2010. Mason began as a kindergarten teacher and team leader, later moving to second and third grade, where she served as curriculum leader and UIL coordinator. She transitioned to the role of math interventionist in 2021 and added gifted and talented support in 2022, becoming the campus GT/math interventionist.

Mason earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University and her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. She began her teaching career in Katy ISD before moving to Wylie. A veteran leader on the Watkins campus, Mason brings experience, consistency, and instructional expertise to her new role as assistant principal.
