Wylie High School Girls Powerlifting Team Clinches State Championship

Congratulations to AHMO IRON! The Wylie High School powerlifting team competed at the 6A Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association state meet this week and brought home the state championship as a team in Equipped!

The team also brought home 13 individual placings, including two state champions in their weight class!

Congratulations to Head Powerlifting Coach Katie Hathaway, Assistant Coach Reid Craft, Assistant Coach Jana Harlow and the powerlifters for raising the bar!

“What an incredible journey it has been for our Wylie High School powerlifting team,” Hathaway said. “As a coach, watching these young athletes pour their heart and soul into their training has been nothing short of inspiring. Their determination and dedication have shone through every grueling workout, every early morning, and every late night.”
