Wylie High School and Wylie East High School have been recognized on the 2025 AP® School Honor Roll for their commitment to expanding access to college-level coursework, promoting a strong college-going culture, and preparing students for success after high school.
This marks the third consecutive year both campuses have earned a spot on the AP School Honor Roll, an annual designation launched by the College Board in 2023.
Wylie High earned a Silver designation, while Wylie East earned Bronze – missing Silver by just one point. Both campuses met or exceeded key benchmarks in college culture, college credit, and college optimization as outlined by the College Board.
To achieve Silver, Wylie High met the following:
- College Culture: 50% or more of graduates took at least one AP exam
- College Credit: 30% or more scored a 3 or higher on an AP exam
- College Optimization: 5% or more took five or more AP exams, with at least one in 9th or 10th grade

Wylie East earned Bronze by meeting these thresholds:
- College Culture: 40% or more of graduates took at least one AP exam
- College Credit: 25% or more scored a 3 or higher on an AP exam
- College Optimization: 2% or more took five or more AP exams, with at least one in 9th or 10th grade

The AP School Honor Roll highlights schools that are expanding opportunities and improving college readiness for all students. Through the Advanced Placement (AP) program, students take rigorous, college-level courses in high school, helping them earn potential college credit while developing the skills they need for future success.
