Wylie East Selects Owen Stanfill to Lead Raiders Boys Soccer

Wylie ISD is excited to announce Owen Stanfill as the new Head Boys Soccer Coach at Wylie East High School. Stanfill joins the Raiders from Royse City ISD, where he served as the Associate Head Boys Soccer Coach at Royse City High School since 2021. He also coached freshman football.

In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Stanfill taught U.S. History and earned recognition for both his instructional excellence and leadership during his time at RCHS. He was named Campus Newcomer of the Year and was a part of the 2023 Lead PLC (Professional Learning Community) Team of the Year.

Before joining RCISD, Stanfill taught social studies and coached football and boys soccer at Chapel Hill ISD in Tyler. While there, he helped lead the varsity boys soccer team to an area championship and coached successful junior high football programs. Prior to entering education, he spent several years in restaurant management, where he developed leadership, budgeting, and organizational skills that continue to serve him in education and athletics.

Stanfill earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Texas at Tyler. He brings a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field.
