Wylie ISD is proud to announce that Brandon Beaty has been selected as the new Dean of Students at Wylie East High School.

This appointment marks a return to the high school level for Beaty, who joined Wylie ISD in 2021 as a social studies teacher and coach at Wylie High School before moving into campus administration as Dean of Students at Cooper Junior High in 2025. During his time at Cooper, he quickly built relationships with students and staff through his approachable leadership style and commitment to supporting a positive campus environment.

While at Wylie High School, Beaty earned a reputation for building strong relationships with students and leading with integrity and professionalism. His contributions, both in the classroom and on the field, made him a respected member of the Pirate community and earned him recognition as the Campus Teacher of the Year for the 2022-23 school year.

Beaty began his career in education in 2010 at Wimberley Junior High in Wimberley ISD, where he taught U.S. History and coached football for five years. He later served as a history teacher and coach in Weatherford ISD, Mesquite ISD, and Garland ISD before joining Wylie ISD.

Beaty holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Texas State University and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas Tech University. He is also completing a master’s degree in educational leadership from Texas Tech. His wife, Heather, also serves Wylie ISD as Director of Special Education.
