Three Wylie East High School Students Earn 2026 TMEA All-State Music Honors
- News
Three Wylie ISD students from Wylie East High School have earned 2026 All-State honors through the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) audition process, one of the highest distinctions a Texas music student can achieve.
The journey to All-State began in the fall, with students competing at the local level and advancing through multiple rounds of highly competitive auditions. Out of more than 70,000 students across Texas, only about 1,875 are selected for an All-State ensemble, placing these students among the top 2.7% of high school musicians in the state.
These outstanding students will now travel to San Antonio from Feb. 11-14, 2026, to participate in the TMEA Clinic/Convention, where they will work with world-renowned conductors and perform as members of elite All-State ensembles. The convention is one of the largest and most prestigious music education events in the nation, celebrating the very best in Texas music education.
