The Heart of the School – Rosario Ayala at Groves Elementary
- Heart of the School

Meet Rosario Ayala, a dedicated custodian at Groves Elementary. She has been part of Wylie ISD for 20 years, making a difference every day behind the scenes.
When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Rosario shared: “I love the children. They are always so nice to me and make me smile! I love watching the kids grow over the years. It’s very heartwarming.”
Rosario describes herself as responsible, positive, and energetic. It’s traits like these that remind us why we are proud to have Rosario in Wylie ISD.
Groves Principal Heather Buckley said, “Our custodian, Rosario Ayala, is an integral part of our school. She not only keeps it clean, but she also builds relationships with students, staff, and families. She never wants recognition of any sort, but she deserves it!”
Outside of work, Rosario enjoys cooking new foods. Right now, she is experimenting with cuisine from her home country of El Salvador.
We are grateful for Rosario’s hard work, dedication, and heart for our students. Thank you for everything you do to keep our schools running and our students supported! We love our support staff!
