The Heart of the School – Pam Hendricks
- Heart of the School

Meet Pam Hendricks, a dedicated Student Nutrition Manager at Bush Elementary. She has been part of Wylie ISD for 15 years, making a difference behind the scenes every day.
When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Hendricks shared: “I enjoy the school, the personnel, the kids. I enjoy showing kids the value of a good, healthy breakfast and lunch.”
One of her favorite memories at Bush is when she made the cafeteria “less scary” for a particular student.
“[The student] was nervous to come to lunch because of having to order off a special menu. [The student’s] dad contacted me and said, ‘Now she’s excited to come to lunch because of you.’ It’s rewarding to know you are doing something that benefits the kids. I love that I get to come to work with a purpose.”
It’s moments like these that remind Hendricks why she loves being part of the school family.
She is a mom of three and Nana to one. Outside of work, Hendricks enjoys spending time with her family and being outside.
“I love nature, walking, gardening, and especially hiking trails,” she said. “And I love to travel!”
We are grateful for Hendrick’s hard work, dedication, and heart for our students. Thank you for everything you do to keep our schools running and our students supported!
