The Heart of the School – Bea Cordova

The Heart of the School – Bea Cordova
Bea Cordova. The Heart of the school for Harrison.

Meet Bea Cordova, a dedicated receptionist at Harrison Intermediate.

She came to Wylie ISD just this school year and is already making a difference every day behind the scenes.

When asked what she enjoys most about the job, Cordova shared: “From day one, I felt like part of the team. I may not know all teachers’ names yet, but I know their voices!”

One of her favorite memories at Harrison was meeting Lisa Davis before she passed away in the fall. Davis was a beloved member of the Harrison family, serving the school for more than 20 years.

“I am fortunate that I got to see how awesome she was,” Cordova said. “Getting to know her was the best.”

Outside of work, Cordova enjoys crocheting, sewing, baking, and spending time with her two sons, Joaquin and Jonah, and her husband, Jose, who is her high school sweetheart.

A fun fact about her is that she is also a cosmetologist.

“I cut my kids’ hair in the garage,” Cordova said.

We are grateful for her hard work, dedication, and heart for our students. Thank you for everything you do to keep our schools running and our students supported!
