Ten Wylie ISD Students Earn Prestigious All-State Music Honors

Ten Wylie ISD high school students have earned All-State honors through the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) audition process, one of the highest distinctions a Texas music student can achieve.

The journey to All-State began in the fall, with students competing at the local level before advancing through multiple rigorous rounds of auditions. Out of more than 70,000 students statewide, only about 1,875 earned a coveted All-State spot—placing them among the top 2.7% of musicians in Texas.

"Earning All-State honors is an incredible accomplishment that represents countless hours of dedication, practice, and passion for music," said Glenn Lambert, Wylie ISD Executive Director of Fine Arts. "These students have worked diligently to refine their craft, and being recognized among the top musicians in Texas is a testament to their talent and perseverance. We are so proud of their achievements."

These outstanding students will now travel to San Antonio from Feb. 12-15 to participate in the TMEA Clinic/Convention, where they will work with world-renowned conductors and perform in elite All-State ensembles. The convention, recognized as the largest music education conference of its kind in the world, showcases the very best in Texas music education.
