Jeff Davidson Named Head Tennis Coach at Wylie East High School
Jeff Davidson, WEHS Head Tennis Coach

Wylie ISD is excited to welcome Jeff Davidson as the new Head Tennis Coach at Wylie East High School. With more than 20 years of experience in education and athletics, Davidson brings a background in tennis and a history of helping student-athletes succeed on and off the court.

Davidson has coached at the high school and academy levels across Texas throughout his career, assisting and leading programs in Allen, Corpus Christi, Victoria, and Bay City. His coaching resume includes more than 275 career team tennis wins, multiple district championships, and numerous athletes advancing to regional and state competitions. Under his leadership, Veterans Memorial High School in Corpus Christi saw an extended run of success, including a boys' doubles state championship in 2017 and a streak of 55 consecutive team tennis district wins.

In addition to high school coaching, Davidson served as a tennis professional at Premier Tennis Academy for seven years, where he trained dozens of state and nationally ranked juniors. Many of his athletes went on to compete at the collegiate level, with signings at programs including Rice, Navy, Texas State, and Michigan State.

Davidson graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education. He holds certifications in all-level physical education and secondary health and is a member of both the Texas Tennis Coaches Association and the United States Professional Tennis Association.

Wylie ISD welcomes Coach Davidson and looks forward to the next chapter in the Wylie East tennis program.
