Harrison Sixth Grader to Compete in Miss Teen Texas Pageant

Thanks to Harrison sixth-grader Madden Webb, The Wylie Way will make its debut on the Miss Texas/Teen Texas Pageant stage.

Webb, who is representing Miss Teen Arlington, as an ambassador for Miss America, can’t wait to share her platform, The Wylie Way, with others.

“Our platform is something we follow to teach other girls about,” Webb said.

She chose The Wylie Way as her platform because she believes the Miss America Scholarship system's motto of "Style, Service, Scholarship, and Success" aligns perfectly with The Wylie Way’s core values.

“The Wylie Way has taught me how to respect someone else before they respect me first,” Webb said.

Madden has met many strong, beautiful and intelligent women throughout her life. One of those young ladies is Macie Krause, the current reigning Miss Teen Arlington. She invited Madden to participate in Miss Texas this year, as her Lone Star Princess.

“This is something you have to be invited to do, and she will not only perform and be involved in pageant week for Miss Texas/Teen Texas, but she will also have a chance to explain her own platform and represent and share it with our great State of Texas,” Madden’s mother, Shannon Webb, said.

The pageant not only gives Madden a chance to express herself but also to increase hope, well-being and engagement, The Wylie Way.

“We are hoping she has amazing opportunities to spread the word about Wylie and how growing up here, and being surrounded by amazing teachers, coaches, admins, and the district itself, has played its role in her core values, and how she will take those values into the world,” Shannon said.
