AHMO Boys Varsity Club Volleyball Team Wins State Championship

The AHMO Boys Varsity Club Volleyball team has earned the title of State Champion after an exciting playoff run capped off by a thrilling championship victory.

The team battled through a tough semifinal matchup against the Aggieland Panthers before advancing to the championship game to face defending state champion, St. Marks. In a hard-fought and dramatic final match, AHMO secured the state title and completed an unforgettable season.

Several players were recognized for their outstanding performances throughout the tournament. Seniors Aydan George, Ryan Mobley, and Ishan Kumar were all named to the All-State Team for their contributions on the court.

Aydan George also earned the title of State Championship Series MVP after delivering dominant performances with powerful serves and key kills throughout the tournament.

“Winning the state championship was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and to finally see all of our hard work pay off felt amazing,” George said. “Being able to celebrate this victory with all of my teammates and to represent all my past teammates who helped build the program into what it is today made the moment even more special.”

The team was supported by Assistant Coach Soul Jeong, Teacher Sponsor Toni Sloane, Lead Team Manager Jolene Bao, and Team Manager Audrey Adams.
