2025 Wylie Sports Hall of Honor Inducts Four New Members

The Wylie Sports Hall of Honor welcomed four new inductees during a ceremony Feb. 22 at McMillan Junior High.

Young, currently serving in the military, was unable to attend the event due to his service obligations. The ceremony drew dozens of community members, including former players and coaches who worked alongside Coach Howard.

Established in 1998 by former Athletic Director Mark Ball and a group of dedicated community leaders, the Wylie Sports Hall of Honor recognizes individuals who have demonstrated excellence in athletics, scholarship, community service, and character. Inductees must meet rigorous selection criteria, including outstanding athletic achievements and contributions to the Wylie ISD athletics program.

The Hall of Honor continues to celebrate the rich athletic history of Wylie ISD and its commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes.
