This year will be my eighteenth year at Groves Elementary.  This will be my fourteenth year in fourth grade.  I have spent a total of 21 years in education overall, after teaching my first few years at Fort Hood Army Base in the first grade.   My passion for educating young children began at a young age when I started working in children’s missions at the age of eighteen.  Since then, I have traveled and lived in a variety of other cities and countries and had the opportunity to work with children from all over the world.  Through all of these experiences, I feel like I have gained a variety of perspectives that have proven helpful to the children that walk into my classroom. 

 I also have a wonderful family of my own at home.  I married my husband Chris in 2009 and have since had three beautiful girls; Allison, Chelsea, and Madison.  It is because of them that I truly understand the importance and value of the family’s role in each child’s education, and realize that the partnership we grow together will truly benefit the success of each child that enters my room.  With that being said, I look forward to your involvement in the learning process this year.  I know this will be a great year and I cannot wait to see what learning will happen in our room this year.
