I am excited to be part of the Cool Cat family!

My husband, Steven and I are proud parents of 3 children – Samantha, Asher, and Hudson. We have one dog (Bailey) that loves to play and cuddle with everyone. As a family, we love to travel, cook, bake, and camp.

I began teaching in 2011 at Hartman Elementary School as an Early Childhood Special Education teacher. In 2017, I became a Pre-Kindergarten teacher. Before teaching in special education, I was a case manager for adults with disabilities in Lubbock, TX. I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2007 with a BS in Human Development and Family Sciences. I received my SPED EC-12, Generalist EC-6, and ESL EC-12 teaching certificates through the alternate certification program at Region 10.

I truly enjoy working with young children and love watching them grow physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally into an independent individual.

My paraprofessional is Aubrey Forte. She has an Associates Degree in Teaching and General Studies. Mrs. Forte is currently working on her Bachelor's Degree in Teaching. She's a mother of 3, all of whom (including herself) have attended Hartman Elementary! She has been in education since 2010, with experience in Early Childhood Special Education and General Education.
