About Me:

Mrs. Smith began her teaching career in 1996 after earning her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from East Texas State University. This is her 14th year at Cooper. Her professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Texas Music Adjudicators Association, and Phi Beta Mu.  She resides in Allen with her husband Brad, who is also a middle school band director, and their two children Kaylee and Jake. 

 

Position:  Assistant Band Director at Cooper Junior High and Beginning Band Teacher at Draper Intermediate

 

Classes Taught: All Bands at Cooper and Beginner Clarinets and Flutes at Draper
