Ms. Susan Wood
This will be my 15th year in Wylie ISD. I love teaching in this progressive district and am looking forward to a great school year. I have been in education for 40 years, and I continue to learn something new every day. Please feel free to contact me anytime. My door is always open.
Three years ago, I built a new home in Wylie, and I just love being part of this growing town. I have two grown daughters who are my pride and joy, and I have a new granddaughter! My oldest daughter is married to a chef, so I get to partake in all kinds of delicious and creative cuisines! They have a new baby girl and a brown boxer, named, Bailey. My youngest daughter has a golden, lab puppy, named Maggie. I love spending time with my girls and thier families.
I love cats, and l have a grey, blue-eyed, Siamese kitty. His name is Charlie Grey; he is VERY curious and gets into everything! I enjoy working in my flower gardens. I love being outside, on my patio, watching the birds come to my feeders and my birdhouses. I also like to read. I like getting into a series of books and following the characters as they investigate the clues and solve mysteries. My favorite genres are mystery, historical fiction, science fiction, and dystopian, other world stories.
Some of my favorite snacks are chips and salsa, peanunt butter M&Ms, and iced mocha coffee from Dunkin' Donuts! My favorite Sonic drink is unsweet tea with lemon. My favorite food of all time is macaroni and cheese. The cheesier and creamier...the better! I think I could eat it every day!
Teaching is not just my job, it is truly my passion. I love to learn, and I love to share knowledge with my students. Together, we can grow and be a positive influence in our world!
