My mom and dad moved to Wilmington, Delaware for about eighteen months, which was long enough to make me the only "Yankee" born in my family for several generations.  My husband and I have three children and three grandchildren.  One of my favorite pastimes is watching college and Dallas Cowboys football.  My husband has told me that I almost burned him out on football because I don't care who is playing on Saturdays; I just love to watch.  Reading and history are also favorite pastimes.  I always have books loaded on my phone or iPad.  Have book will travel.  

 

I attended Texas Tech University earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education with Special Education Certification.  This year will be my twenty-fourth year teaching the SEAS classroom at Burnett Jr. High and my thirty-fourth-year teaching special education classes.   Every day in my job is an adventure.  That's why I love it so much.  Each class period is a different curriculum (science, history, reading, writing, social skills), so we have to change gears all day long.  I love the challenge.
