Colonel (Retired) Stephen A. Jones, USAF

Colonel Jones retired from the Air Force in 2009 after 30 years of service to include 22 years of active duty and 8 years in the reserve.  His Air Force duties included 7 years as an aircraft maintenance officer on fighter aircraft and 23 years in education and training. This is his 11th year of teaching at Wylie High School.  Col. Jones teaches Aerospace Science to all seven ROTC classes.  He is teaching "Milestones in Aviation History" to ROTC I cadets.  Curriculum rotates annually for ROTC II, III, and IV.  This year, Col. Jones is teaching "Exploring Space" to second through fourth-year cadets.   Col. Jones' wife Jan is the smartest, most gorgeous, and most wonderful wife on earth. They have two daughters, one son, and one granddaughter.  Their daughter, Stephanie is a 2013 graduate of Wylie High School.
