Mrs. Amy Hunt

I started my teaching career in 1992 after graduating from Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches. While teaching, I worked on and completed my Master's of Interdisciplinary Subjects focusing on History and World Geography. I have taught a variety of classes over the past 20+ years including all of the various social studies classes as well as Biology. For the past fifteen years I have focused most of my time on American History. I currently teach Dual Credit US History and Academic Decathlon. I also teach US History 1301 and 1302 at Collin College, usually during the summer. American History is truly a passion for me and I try and bring it to life for my students. Outside of teaching, my husband and I live on our 25 acres with 7 dogs, 4 cats, 9 horses and far too many chickens to count! I spend my free time riding my horses and showing dressage. In the evenings I unwind by getting in the kitchen and baking cookies and experimenting with new recipes.
