Mrs. Michelle Rodges

I have been the Drill Team Director of the Wylie High School Pirate Pacesetters and Dance teacher since 1994. I came to Wylie from Boswell High School where I directed the Pure Gold Dance Team for one year and also taught Dance 1. While at Boswell, I also assisted with the choreography for the musical Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

I am a former Plano East High School Golden Girl. After high school I attended Southwest Texas State University (currently Texas State) as a Dance Major where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sports Science. I received my teaching certification in Dance and Health. While at SWT, I was a member of the world famous Strutters.  As a Strutter, I performed at a Houston Oilers Professional football game, various San Antonio Spurs games, and a birthday celebration at Aquarian Springs for Ralph, the famous swimming pig. During my years at SWT, I was a member of the Orchesis Dance Company, Delta Psi Kappa Dance Honor Fraternity, Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority (serving as the chapters recording secretary), SWT Stars (helped with the football recruiting program), and Dean’s List.  In 2011, I graduated from Dallas Baptist University earning my Masters degree in Educational Leadership with Principal certification.

I am married to Jeff Rodges, I have a daughter, Samantha and step-son Houston.
